Ingredients for Dough

2 cups wheat flour

1 cup corn meal

1 packet (1/4 ounce) active dry yeast

2 tsp sugar

1/2 tsp salt

1 cup water

1 tbsp vegetable oil

Ingredients for Toppings

1 lb ground pork sausage

1 stick Orrington Farms® Mexican Style Chorizo Sausage Seasoning

1/2 cup taco sauce or enchilada sauce

1 cup Monterrey Jack or Mexican cheese blend, shredded

1 medium jalapeno


1Preheat oven to 400°F.

2To prepare dough, add dry ingredients for the pizza dough into a mixer bowl. Mix on low speed for one minute. Add water and oil to the bowl, mix for 10 minutes until dough fully develops. Set aside.

3Combine sausage and seasoning mix and cook over medium-high heat for 5-7 minutes or until fully cooked, breaking it into small pieces. After draining grease from the meat, allow it to cool slightly.

4Place the pizza dough on a lightly greased pan and form it into a 12 inch circle. Apply sauce to cover the dough. Top with cooked chorizo, cheese and jalapeño.

5Bake for 20-22 minutes or until crust is golden and cheese is fully melted.

Tips & Tricks: Use store-bought refrigerated pizza crust as an alternative to making dough.
